My husband and I have lived in Livermore since 2000 and have two young adult children. When we were all required to shelter in place during the pandemic, I saw the need for families to have somewhere safe to go where their kids could have some fun, and that is how Diamond Ct Library came to be. Children can stop by, relax on the bench, and read a book or get a toy. I hope to inspire the love of reading and learning in children and to see the joy on children’s faces when they discover something for the first time.
Q: What are some fun activities to do in Livermore?
I like to take my dog for a walk through Sycamore Grove and Shadow Cliffs. I also enjoy volunteering at church events at our church, Cedar Grove Community Church. Trunk-or-Treat is one of my favorite events.
Q: What makes the Livermore community so special?
There are always people willing to help out. We have a small-town feeling and everyone cares about each other.
Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
I am a substitute teacher for grades K-5 and volunteer in Children’s Ministry at Cedar Grove Community Church. I like planting positive seeds that steer kids in the right direction. One of my favorite Bible verses, Prov. 22:6, says, “Train up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
In my spare time, I manage Diamond Ct Library. The library, which serves children ages 3-12, is located near the corner of Diamond Ct and Diamond Drive near Smith Elementary and Ida Holm Park. Although it primarily serves Livermore families, we’ve had families come from as far away as Modesto to check out books, games, puzzles and toys! Our daughter, an artist, designed it with a Dr. Seuss theme. In the words of Dr. Seuss, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Stop by Diamond Ct Library anytime. Look for the hot pink cabinet!

Saigon Cafe and Los Caporales

Have the vision of a child. Look at the world through the eyes of a child and you will capture more joy. Be kind to each other.

Alden lane Nursery is so peaceful and beautiful. I really enjoy their Fall Festival.
