I’m 66 years old and after 30 years of service, retired from the Hayward Police Dept., as a Sergeant, over 16 years ago. I have one daughter named Jenny and 3 grandchildren, two of which are twins. Lily and Caleb are 6 and Coby is 2. I’m in a loving relationship with Bonnie, who is a TK teacher in Livermore. I have lived in Livermore for over 33 years. My hobbies include pickleball, racquetball, cycling, motorcycle riding, watching movies and golf.
I was fortunate to be part of a team that started the TRI-VALLEY PICKLEBALL CLUB over 2 years ago. We have grown the club to well over 700 members, something we are all proud of; especially since we were hoping and praying for 50 people to join.  I have also been a varsity softball coach at Livermore high for the past 21 years.

Q: What are some fun activities to do in Livermore?
Pickleball, movies, bowling (for 8 years), hiking, cycling and shopping and/or dining in our beautiful downtown.

Q: What makes the Livermore community so special?
The people are friendly and kind.

Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
I’m retired, but love volunteering in our community.  I am one of the five founders of the Tri-Valley Pickleball Club. The club was started to bring more awareness of pickleball to the Tri-Valley and to work together with LARPD and other city’s recreation departments to add more pickleball facilities in the Tri-Valley. What I enjoy the most about our club is that it brings people together from all walks of life and throughout the Tri-Valley and Bay Area. We put on over 50 events a year and watching everyone interact with one another is so rewarding. Long term friendships have developed, which melts my heart.  We’ve even had several relationships start after meeting one another at our events. Pickleball is here to stay as we are seeing our membership grow each month.  We’re also seeing the age range of members range from 18 to 80+.
Our goal is to get a 16/20 court facility with lights built in the area.
