My family came from Cambodia to the US in 1987 and we settled in Palo Alto. My dads second brother had a donut shop in Palo Alto and that is where he learned how to bake. In Livermore, my dads sister and her husband were running the Donut Wheel. We took over the Donut Wheel in 1988 and have been here since. We love serving donuts to our Livermore community!
Q: What are some fun activities to do in Livermore?
We normally take the kids out to the hiking trails and go fishing. We love Del Valle and walking around downtown.
Q: What makes the Livermore community so special?
The people.
Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
I love baking. I grew up with my parents baking and asking them how to do things. I love baking different things with donuts like the birthday donuts and birthday donut cakes.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Lemongrass, Uncle Yu’s and Ale House.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
We’ve been here since 1988 and love serving our community great donuts.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Do what you love to do and be good at it and you will do well.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I love all of it here.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Everyone knows just about everyone. Its a close knit community.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I love to sew! I quilt and knit when I have free time. Its been a long time but I love it!
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
New Years and Chinese New Year. We like celebrating both.
Q: Who inspires you?
My parents. They have worked so hard and come a long way. They sacrificed a lot to get us here. They work so hard everyday so they are my inspiration.

Family, love and togetherness.
