Hi friends! I’m Katy, owner and founder of Whole Health Fitness Coach. I create quick, effective online workouts that can be done at home, the office, the park – literally anywhere, anytime. I also provide one-on-one personal training and teach group fitness classes. I’m so passionate about health, fitness and wellness and believe that through our own self-care and living a healthy lifestyle we can tap into our own individual greatness. Aside from all things fitness related, I have 3 enormous wild dogs and 3 wild boys. One of my boys is actually all grown up now and just recently had a baby girl who I’m obsessed with and yes, that makes a G….ok shhhhh. Don’t say the word! LOL My life is so full and good, there is never, ever a dull moment!
Q: What are some fun activities to do in Livermore?
I love spending time outside, walks in nature, hiking, fishing. Downtown is always fun with the kids too, going to the movies or any of the fun street festivals. We love to go downtown and eat or visit our favorite coffee shop Story Coffee. My boys also love the old comic bookstore, it’s def a fav!
Q: What makes the Livermore community so special?
We moved from Castro Valley and our biggest draw to Livermore was the small-town feel. The community here is so tight knit and welcoming, we love it!
Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
I created Whole Health Fitness Coach, an online space where anyone, anywhere can reach their fitness goals. I also teach group fitness classes at Equinox as well as provide one on one personal training here in Livermore. I love that I get to work with people and help them transform their lives through movement. Fitness is far more than just physical, it’s about self-esteem, self-worth and self-love and watching someone realize they are capable, strong and worthy of living an amazing life is absolutely priceless!
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
We love the Alehouse. Anytime I ask my boys where they want to eat, Alehouse is their first choice!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve lived in Livermore for almost ten years now.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Who gets to watch TV when they have kids, my boys dominate my TV! I’m actually a huge book nerd and love reading but if I actually have time to put on TV it’s usually reruns of The Office or some ridiculous reality show, like the Golden Bachelor.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Never stop moving. This is the only life you get, don’t wake up one day and regret all of the what if moments. Seize each and every single day! “Move your body. Love your body. Live your best life!”
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love Livermore’s downtown space. There isn’t one quite as cool as ours and there’s always some event or market going on downtown that appeals to everyone of all ages.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
At this point I’m pretty sure everyone knows this little fun fact but I LOVE dark chocolate and 9 out of 10 times you can find a handful of dark chocolate chips in my jacket pockets
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas time is my favorite, it’s such a magical time of year
Q: Who inspires you?
My sister and her husband. They’re amazing humans and when you hang out with them they make you want to be a better person. I’m a firm believer that you should surround yourself with THOSE kinds of people…people that make you want to LEVEL UP.
