My name is Ed Santero. I grew up in Pleasanton & went to Amador then Chico State. Started teaching at Mendenhall in 1995. I have one son who’s 21 and in college. I like to stay active and play sports especially tennis, baseball, softball & competitive wiffle ball. I enjoy the outdoors by hiking and camping. I’m a big Raiders and SF Giants fan.

Wine tasting, hiking, fishing, downtown bars/restaurants and the rodeo!
Q: What makes the Livermore community so special?
Livermore still has a small hometown feel. I love the old west cowboy vibe.
Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
I teach PE & wood shop at Mendenhall Middle School. I love my job because I get to teach/play sports & help kids build cool stuff. I especially like teaching them how to make wine barrel furniture. I also make custom Adirondack outdoor chair sets and auction them to raise money for the supplies for the woodshop class.

I live in Pleasanton & have been teaching at Mendenhall for 29 years.
