My name is Jesse. I am originally from North Carolina. I joined the Coast Guard in 2001. I am still currently serving active duty after 21 years. I have been teaching indoor cycle/spin for 10 years now. In 2017 I met Deanna Hasni the owner of Joya Yoga and Cycle. I joined the studio as a student in October of 2017, then became the cycle team lead in 2018. In 2019 Razi and Deanna wanted me to do a special cycle class outdoors in a park or somewhere fun. I asked, “well can we make it a fundraiser?” they said sure, that is how Wine It Up was born. In 2019 Wine It Up raised over $3500 for Sunflower Hill, 2021 we raised over $12,000 for Reins in Motion and Tri-Valley NonProfit Alliance , and we are still waiting on the full tally from 2022 supporting Putnam Clubhouse and Tri-Valley NonProfit Alliance.

I am in the Coast Guard. I love that I have literally traveled the world and experienced things that people normally pay big money to see or do.

My two front teeth are real, but not my original front teeth. I knocked out my front teeth as a pre- teen and got braces to pull all my teeth together

As I feel most holidays revolve religion or a tainted past, I really don’t celebrate holidays. But fall would my favorite season.

The ones that society considers the “underdog.”
