A native of Teaneck, New Jersey, Alpher is a trained actress, comedian, radio personality, wife, and mom. She holds a master’s degree in Communication and has utilized her gifts to inspire people around the world through her comedy. She’s worked with a variety of corporate companies and celebrities: Hasbro: Toys & Games, Wayans Brothers, Earthquake the Comedian, and featured on OWN’s, Oprah Winfrey Network, ‘Searching for…’, just to name a few. Faith is quick witted and has high energy. Whether she’s speaking to a live audience, or acting on stage, she has a knack for tugging people’s heartstrings across generations, cultures and belief systems. Whether sharing about her interracial wedding in Harlem, driving 3,000 miles to California or how she used to eat Ambrosia & cheeseburgers for breakfast, it’s never a dull moment with Faith. She takes her audiences on an emotional, cathartic ride. She’s also a work out ENTHUSIAST, she’s a an Arbonne Consultant and adores making videos with her husband, Daniel Alpher. They’ve been marries 25 years and still on the honeymoon!

The people! I moved here in my 20’s and I adore the people. I really, really do!
Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
I’m a radio DJ at 101.7 KKIQ & 92.1 KKDV. i’ll be celebrating 17 years in 2022! I’m a professional actress and speaker! I write curriculum and speak to high schools, colleges, Universities and businesses all over the country! I ADORE what I do and I am a consultant for a health & wellness company. I mentor people through their health journey. I LOVE when my clients discover it’s not what you eat, but what you absorb. Food is everything!
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Oh MY….Well, I don’t think you have enough room! But I REALLY love a variety of places! Lo’s China Bistro, PB08 Indian Bistro & Bar, Star Annise, Wingen Bakery! So many more!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Over 20+ years!
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I’m thinking about Bob Taylor, Noah & Aaron Taylor and daughter-in-law Salome Garau-Taylor.They own Retzlaff Vineyard. The only organic vineyard in town. They provide fundraisers for ‘Open Heart Kitchen’ and give back like CRAZY. They host one of my favorites, ‘Comedy Uncorked’ They’re wonderful people with an amazing story.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I’m kinda all over the place. Sister Act 2, Ozark, Narcos, Little Fires Everywhere, Scream, Amazing Race, Survivor, Queen of the South….OK, don’t judge me! lol
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be nice to EVERYONE. Why? You’ll probably run into them and feel like an idiot IF you were rude. AND respect your body. You only have one. Oh yes, and forgive. Always.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I have two. First Street Ale House & The Vine Cinema! First Street because I remember when they were half the size and Ron & Mike had a vision to build BIG next door. This was before Brook & Ron were married. They did it and the place is ALWAYS busy. I LOVE THE VINE. I remember when there were no couches and NOW they’re like this cool independent theatre with couches, chairs and an awesome vibe.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I feel like people genuinely care of about each other.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m an open person…MOST people know that! But most people don’t know I’m a VERY private person. Yes, the two can coexist.
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
Juneteenth! Hands down! Makes me emotional just thinking about it.
Q: Who inspires you?
My beautiful husband, Daniel. Not only is he my bestie, and an awesome Realtor, but I enjoy being around him all the time. He gets me. I love sharing the stage with him!
