I was born and raised in Livermore. It’s not hard to fall in love with such a beautiful area… Since I was 15, I have operated a successful portrait photography business capturing a wide range of individuals from weddings, families and seniors to fashion photography and corporate giants like The Clorox Company and others. I’ve always approached portraiture as more than descent lighting and a blurry background. I view my work as an art form, to capture authentic, storytelling portraits that almost scream at the viewer for a second glance. I’ve always been obsessed with working with people. A big part of my job is adjusting how I work to create comfortable environment for my subjects.
I attended Granada High School and graduated early in 2022 to pursue my photography business full time. This August, I’ll be moving to Paris to attend a photographic institute to specialize in fashion photography and celebrity portraiture. Until then, lets make some magic, Livermore. I’ll be back!
Q: What are some fun activities to do in Livermore?
I love exploring the local parks and nature in Livermore, trying new restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and hanging downtown!
Q: What makes the Livermore community so special?
Livermore is an inviting community and has much to offer. Whatever your interests might be, there are tons of groups and activities to get involved in. I grew up playing sports at GLL, LJFL and Fusion. Getting involved in playing sports introduced me to tons friends and families I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to meet.
Q: Please tell us about where you work and what you love about what you do?
Wyatt Krauss Photography has serviced the Livermore community, Bay Area and beyond in creating meaningful, timeless photographs. Working with a wide range of clientele, he offers a relaxed, comfortable environment with a creatively driven perspective.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
To name a few, Wingen Bakery– my absolute favorite!, Uncle Yu’s, The Press, Locanda, Vitality Bowls.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
My whole life!
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
One of the most interesting people I’ve met in our community is Steve Wilde. He is the Pastor at First Presbyterian Church and has been involved in the Livermore community for years. I first met Steve when I was around 8 years old when he coached my baseball team at Granada Little League. I’ve always admired how positive and authentic he is, truly leading by example. Steve made me feel comfortable in my own skin. Anytime I saw him he would light up. He always said, “We can control only 2 things, our attitude and our effort.” And those words have stuck with me to this day. Individuals like Steve are the reason our community is so welcoming and special.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I could binge Ozark and Breaking Bad anytime any day! I like New Girl for a good laugh. I’ve recently starting watching “The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy” and really love seeing all the beautiful sights around the world. It makes me want to travel!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
I like to tell people to try and “zoom out”. As a photographer, I like to think of an actual camera lens zooming out in perspective. It’s so easy to get caught up in all that we’ve got going and for our perspectives to become more and more narrowed. Zoom out, think about what truly matters in life, and you may just feel a bit better.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I’d have to say the Ale House makes me nostalgic because it feels like Livermore’s town square.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Due to where Livermore is located, we have so many opportunities to travel a short proximity and go to the mountains, ocean, foothills, San Francisco and much more!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Something most people don’t know about me is that I LOVE Yoga. I can’t say I’m very good at it but I do enjoy it! It helps me stretch out, relax and be more mindful.
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
I’d have to say Christmas time. For people of many beliefs, December is a time to get festive, cozy and make memories with friends and family.
Q: Who inspires you?
My Mom truly inspires me everyday with her love and dedication to her family and her willingness to be the best version of herself.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Warm, Storytelling, Memories
What is the best way to get a hold of you?
